During our short stay in Nagoya, it was nice to see we aren't the only ones dreaming big. One of our sponsors, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, manufactures the wings for the carbon-fiber Boeing 787 "Dreamliner" here. Once assembled, the 90-foot wings are then loaded into the back of Boeing's enormous "Dreamlifter" (left) and flown to the U.S. for final assembly. With 65,000 cubic feet of cargo room, this modified 747 can haul more by volume than any other aircraft in the world!
As we prepare to depart Japan, we would like to send our condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the eruption of Mount Ontake. Prayers go out to the people of Japan, who have hosted the Flying Classroom so graciously these past few days.
